Finding a music teacher who can inspire you or your child to embrace music in a way that will have a lasting, positive impact can be daunting and most folks are not sure what to look for! What questions should you ask? Who can you trust to have your best interest at heart?
There are matters of the heart. Music is one thing that is common to all cultures. We play instruments and sing to move ourselves and others. We express our emotions and our most heartfelt ideas through song.
Then there’s the matter of fun…yes, fun. If we’re not having fun…it’s definitely not going to be…fun…
I hope to inspire children and adults to embrace music in a way that has a lasting, positive impact. My long-term professional experience in performance, along with knowledge of various styles of music, and the ability to communicate simple concepts, “speaks” to different age groups and diverse learning styles.
My years “on the bandstand”, my years teaching in the classroom, and my time teaching privately have led me to the conclusion that each person’s path is a very personal thing and is to be honored and celebrated. I love guiding folks on their personal path. I love finding new ways to express and communicate the concepts and ideas that lead to “the magic.” It will be my honor to help you or your child move forward powerfully toward musical passion and fulfillment…toward that place where the magic lies.
